The future of Erik Ten Hag at Manchester United has been in major doubt following a series of bad results in recent weeks in the league.

There are a few managers linked to the coaching job at the club if the board decides to terminate Ten Hag's contract at the end of the current season (2023/24). The major name that is circulating among the fans of the club is Gareth Southgate, the manager of the English national team.

However, Southgate has cleared the air about the rumors. According to him, the interest from Manchester United is irrelevant because his focus is on Euro 2024, which begins on June 14, 2024. He also confirmed that he has not spoken to anyone from the Red Devils regarding the possibility of replacing Ten Hag.

In an interview with ITV News, he said,

"I have got one thing to focus on, that's having as successful a tournament with England as possible. Everything else outside of that is a complete irrelevance to me."

England supporters will hope that Southgate can lead the Three Lions to a successful outing in Germany because of the number of talented players he has in his squad.

Which teams are in England's group at Euro 2024?

The Three Lions are in Group C alongside Slovenia, Serbia, and Germany. They face Serbia on June 16 before playing Denmark and Slovenia on June 20 and 25, respectively.
