#UCL: Everything you need to know about Arsenal vs Bayern Munich
The upcoming quarter-final match between Arsenal and Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League is the most highly-anticipated fixture among football fans worldwide.
Arsenal has been in excellent form since the start of this year in the Premier League, winning all of their games except for their draw against Manchester City. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich has struggled to perform at their usual level and has been overshadowed by current League Leaders, Bayer Leverkusen.
Both teams will face off at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, in hopes of securing a spot in the final four of the competition.
HEAD TO HEAD
Both teams have faced each other 12 times in the past, all in the Champions League. Their first match was in December 2000 when Arsenal were leading 2-0 but ended up drawing 2-2 in the second group stage. They lost 1-0 in Munich in March 2000. Bayern has eliminated Arsenal from the competition on four occasions, all at the round of 16 stage.

The first time they met in the knock-out stage was during the 2004/05 season, despite winning 1-0 at Highbury, Arsenal lost 3-2 on aggregate. In 2013, Arsenal won the second leg 2-0 at the Allianz Arena, but it wasn't enough to overturn a 3-1 loss in the first leg. Arsenal was knocked out of the competition in 2014 and 2017, which was the last time they faced Bayern.
