'I came up trying to unite the sounds'- Stonebwoy

Ghanaian Sensation Stonebwoy was the guest star for this week's African Voices Change Makers by CNN.

Livingstone Etse Satekla popularly known as Stonebwoy was the guest this week on African Voices Changemakers. The program was created by Cable News Network (CNN). Telecommunications giant, Globacom, sponsored this week's episode.

Larry Madowo hosted a 30-minute program that delved deeply into Stonebwoy's achievements and his impact on the African continent through his music, which seamlessly blends Afropop, dancehall, and reggae genres.

Stonebwoy expressed that he employs music as a means to narrate tales. Additionally, he noted that his music encompasses a blend of various sound genres. During the interview, Stonebwoy said, "I think this is the calling so anytime I am able to perform and reach out to the masses I'm always grateful. Music has always been there before anything. The styles of music from Reggae to dancehall music to African music. I came up into the game trying to unite the sounds. So when you pick up a typical Stonebwoy record you have a feel of afro dancehall reggae music"

The King of Afro-dancehall showcased his talent at the finale of the 13th All-African Games, delivering an exhilarating performance. Accompanied by Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck, the duo presented an unreleased single, captivating the audience with their energy on stage.
