Reflecting on his journey, Black Sherif, speaking with Kamilla Rose on Capital Xtra in the UK, shared his excitement about achieving such a significant milestone. He emphasized that this recognition fuels his passion for music and allows him to express himself creatively in the studio. Spotify's annual list for 2023 confirmed Black Sherif as the most streamed Ghanaian artist. He surpassed notable figures like Sarkodie and Stonebwoy.
When asked how he felt to be the most streamed artist he said, "It's crazy. I think those are part of the reasons why I want to make music and see how far it gets. It makes me want to do more and it gives me a lot of freedom because nobody was policing this music. I love freedom with art. I love to do whatever I want in the studio and see what it does for me".
