South Africans blast AKA's friends for pouring alcohol on his grave
Days after the release of AKA's tribute single by his then-girlfriend, Nadia Nakai, L-Tido and other AKA friends were seen pouring alcohol on his grave.
They did this on January 28, 2024, the late rapper's post-humous birthday. His friends doused his grave with vodka, particularly a brand that he used to promote, Cruz Vodka. His grave located at Heroe’s Acre in Westpark Cemetary is the resting place of the rapper who was killed February 10, 2023, alongside Tebello (Tibz) Motsoane by hired hitmen outside a Durban restaurant.

Nadia Nakai's Tribute
On February 26, 2024, Nadia Nakai released a tribute single titled Never Leave in honor of her late lover, one of South Africa's well-represented rappers, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes professionally known as AKA.
The single is said to be part of the anticipated tribute album for AKA also known as Super Mega. In the song, she talks about the sadness she felt after AKA's death, how much she missed him, and remembers the good times they had together.
In 2023, the sudden and tragic death of AKA shocked the entire country of South Africa and left the music industry with an unexpected loss.
