Top 3 Nigerian artists who could win big at the 2024 Grammy Awards

The list of nominees for the 66th edition of the Grammy Awards saw the highest number of African artists to be nominated in a single year in the awards history, as the night of the award ceremony itself draws closer hints and indications lean towards us seeing a historical win in terms of artists going home with the prestigious awards on the night.

The entertainment industry's biggest award ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 4th, 2024. It is predicted that Nigerian artists will be among the major highlights of the night, with many taking to the stage to perform, gracing the red carpet, and a few expected to win awards. For this reason, we have compiled a list of three Nigerian artists who we believe will each go home with at least one award at the Grammy Awards.

Burna Boy Grammy Awards 2024

Burna Boy was the most nominated Nigerian artist ahead of the 66th edition of the Grammy Awards, although the singer missed out on winning a Grammy Award in 2023, we are predicting that he might just set a record of being the only Nigerian artist to receive more than one Grammy award on the might.

Burna Boy had an illustrious 2023, but one project that we believe will most definitely earn him one Grammy Award would be his song on the Black Panther soundtrack album titled Alone. Alone has been nominated in the best Global Music Performance and Burna's perfect rendition as well as the global acceptability of the song is what gives him an edge in this category.

Davido Grammy Awards 2024

Following the official confirmation of Davido receiving his first set of Grammy Award nominations with the biggest album release of the year 2023, Timeless, the singer is expected to win at least one of the three categories he was nominated in and we believe the category is the maiden one, Best African Music Performance where he received a nomination with his hit and viral song, Unavailable.

Unavailable was arguably the biggest song of 2023 out of Africa as it took the global scene by storm setting new records and also breaking existing records.

Tems also received a nomination as a songwriter for her contribution to Rihanna's Lift Me Up for the Black Panther Wakanda Forever official soundtrack. The song which shot to the limelight was regarded as one of the best theme songs for a movie and although it did not receive an award at the Oscars many can't rule out the possibility of it winning an award at the 66th edition of the Grammys.
