AFCON 2023: Jose Peseiro sends message to Nigerians ahead of Ivory Coast clash

The head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria has sent a message to Nigerians ahead of the crucial game against Ivory Coast at the ongoing AFCON 2023.

The Portuguese International was speaking in a pre-match press conference when he was asked about what Nigerians should expect from the game against the host nation which will be played on Thursday, January 18, 2024. According to him, the game will be difficult but the team will give their best.

"It will be a hard match against an excellent team. We want to do well, win, and also enjoy the game. We want to fight for it tomorrow against d'ivoire"

He also added saying, it is God who gives victory to anyone.

"Sometimes God gives and sometimes he takes maybe it’s time he gives to us.”

Nigeria go into the game with one point from their opening game against Equatorial Guinea, the Super Eagles can not afford a defeat against the Elephants.
