Ladipoe reveals that Wizkid does not inspire him musically

Nigerian hip-hop artist and Mavin record signee, Ladipo Eso, widely known as Ladipoe, has revealed that Afrobeats superstar Wizkid does not serve as a musical inspiration for him.

The revelation came during a social media (X) interaction on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, when Ladipoe responded to a fan's inquiry about his musical influences.

The Shut It Down crooner, however, noted that he admired Wizkid's personality and business intelligence.

Ladipoe initially posted, "RnB inspired me just as much as Hip Hop did" prompting a fan with the username @_okikiola_1 to inquire, "So Basically Wizkid is part of the people who inspired you." In his response, Ladipoe clarified, saying, "Musically no. Persona and business acumen definitely."

As the conversation unfolded, another X user, @Bankz_12345, joined in with humour, questioning how "mid" (mediocre) could inspire someone. Ladipoe countered, asserting that "Wiz is not mid."
