Rema's 'Calm Down' ranked the biggest African song in the UK of 2023

In an official announcement by Official Chart for the UK, multiple award-winning singer Rema's smashing hit 'Calm Down' was ranked the biggest African song of 2023 in the country.

The official Charts UK announced their 40 Biggest Songs of the year 2023, and Rema's Calm Down was the highest-ranked African song on the chart. The remix of the hit song which features American singer Selena Gomez, which peaked at number three on the singles chart was ranked 6th on the end of the year list.

Rema was however not the only artist in the top 10 on the list, Cameroonian singer Libianca's viral hit song People with mega remixes featuring artists like Ayra Starr, Omah Lay, and Becky G which peaked at number two on the charts also came in at number 10 on the list.

The two talented African artists were the only ones from the continent to make an appearance on the list.
