Davido and Adekunle Gold to headline the BlockParty's festive season events
Nigerian music stars, Davido and Adekunle Gold have been announced as the headlining acts for Africa’s premier youth festival, The BlockParty, during its upcoming holiday events.
The artist announced the exciting news on Instagram on Wednesday, December 13, and the Island Block Party's page confirmed the details with a caption that read, "I’ll be bringing the heat to the @islandblockparty on December 26! Get ready for a night of timeless vibes and unforgettable moments. We’re about to make history together! ⏳ Save the date and let’s create memories that last a lifetime."
Davido will lead the Island edition on December 26, while Adekunle Gold will take the stage for the Mainland event on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2024.
His appearance at the Timeless BlockParty on the Island will feature supporting acts such as ODUMODUBLVCK, Fave, and Dopecaesar. The festival's sound system crew, including DJ Titanium, Maze x Mxtreme, and SmallztheDJ, will also be present.
