Former Manchester City player, Cole Palmer has taken the two penalties awarded to Chelsea since his arrival from the Etihad Stadium on the final day of the 2023 summer transfer window.

There was a bit of back and forth in the game against Arsenal between Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer in deciding who would take the penalty.

Mauricio Pochettino in his press conference confirmed that a penalty could be taken by Palmer, Sterling or Nicolas Jackson in that order.

"It's a few players that can take penalties. It's about the feeling. The coaching staff give the possibility for them to decide on the pitch. It's not only one player. Cole, at the moment, was ready for the two penalties. Normally, I suppose it will be [Cole Palmer vs Brentford to take a penalty] if he's on the pitch. But it could be Raheem or Nico if he's not on the pitch."

Chelsea host Brentford in the lunchtime game on Saturday, October 28, 2023. The supporters will hope for maximum points so they can remain in the first half of the league table.
