Seun Kuti, the well-known Afrobeat artist and son of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, found himself on the wrong side of the law on May 15, 2023. He was arrested after slapping a police officer.
Seun Kuti revealed his decision to renovate the Panti cell in a video that quickly went viral on October 7, 2023. He remodelled the toilet, repaired the floor, painted the walls, and even improved the shower facilities!
Seun Kuti explained that he wanted to make the cell a more comfortable and hygienic place for anyone who might find themselves there, including artists like Naira Marley and others who sometimes get into legal issues.
