Brazil's forward player, Richarlison has decided to speak up about his recent struggles on the field both for his club side ( Tottenham) and his country.

Richarlison was a topic of conversation during the international break where he broke down in tears in the game against Bolivia on Saturday, September 9, 2023. The Spurs player broke down in tears after he was substituted in the 71st minute of the World Cup qualifier at the Mangueirao.

He has been on a long streak of goal drought for both club and country. He has not scored for Brazil since the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup and has scored just one goal in his last 31 appearances for Tottenham.

However, Richarlison confirmed in an interview with a media outlet in Brazil, Globo that he will seek professional assistance when he returns to England.

"I am going to go back to England, to seek psychological help, from a psychologist, to work on my mind. That’s it. Come back stronger. I believe I will be in the next (Brazil) squad, I will work for that. It’s about getting a good streak at Tottenham, this week I’m going to sit down and talk to them, I need a good streak, get the rhythm of the game."

He also spoke about why he broke down in tears against Bolivia.

"I didn’t play a bad game in Belem. It was more of an outburst about the things that were happening off the field, which got out of control not on my part, but on the part of people who were close to me."

The former Everton player joined Tottenham for £60 million during the 2022 summer transfer window.
