Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola have both named a formidable side for the community shield fixture, Arsenal vs Manchester City, which is being played today, Sunday, August 6, 2023.
The starting lineup for the match between the two teams at Wembley Stadium has been confirmed. Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber, and Kai Havertz will be starting. Timber is expected to play as the left-back, alongside the usual centre-back duo of William Saliba and Gabriel.
Upfront, Havertz will be part of the attacking trio, along with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli. The bench options include Leandro Trossard, Emile Smith Rowe, and the midweek goal scorer, Eddie Nketiah.
Unfortunately, Jorginho won't be available for selection due to a minor muscle issue and will not be in the matchday squad.
