Inter Milan CEO gives update on Manchester United bid for Andre Onana
Manchester United's quest to sign Andre Onana as a replacement for David De Gea ahead of the 2023/24 has received a big boost.
The CEO of Inter Milan, Beppe Marotta confirmed that the Red Devils are expected to submit an official bid for Andre Onana in the next couple of days. Transfer news guru, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on his official Twitter account on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
"Manchester United should submit an official bid for André Onana in some days; then we will tell them our position and the player will do the same."
The Cameroonian International looks more likely to join Manchester United because of his relationship with Erik Ten Hag while they were both at Ajax. However, Chelsea are also keeping an eye on Onana as they looking for a replacement for Edouard Mendy and possibly Kepa Arrizabalaga.
There is no official bid yet for Onana but Inter and United are in close contact over the deal.
