Ruger Reveals What Inspired Record-breaking Song 'Asiwaju'

Ruger revealed what motivated him to record the viral song 'Asiwaju,' which topped the chart from December 2022 into the year 2023.

Talented singer, performer and songwriter, in a short interview with popular podcaster Adesope, revealed what had inspired and motivated him to release 'Asiwaju' in 2022. Ruger opened up that he had been angry at everyone and everything, and this was a driving force and a major inspiration behind the song.

Ruger, who delivered a stunning performance in Germany, has also opened up on his plans to release a new album in the year 2023 as the singer kicked off the new year with the release of a collaborative project with DJ Neptune.

'Asiwaju' had maintained the number one position for a total of four weeks on the Apple Music Top Songs Nigeria Chart in December 2022, an achievement the singer was so proud of that he took to his social media platform to react.
