The singer's management has debunked news linking them to the presidential rally.
Nigerian talented singer Asake, via his management, has reacted to the news of him performing at presidential candidate Peter Obi's rally.
There has been a flyer circulating the internet claiming that Asake, Wizkid, and others will be performing at the Labour Party's Presidential Candidate Peter Obi's Abuja Rally, which is scheduled for February 18th, 2022, which has now been debunked by both Asake and Wizkid's management.

The news, which was debunked by Asake's official news page on Instagram, stated that the flier is false and that the event organizer will face legal action. The post read:

@asakemusic and his management know nothing about this event and accordingly, he will not be performing at the said event as claimed, so please beware of this poster and information put out from its organizers as Asake and his management will not be liable for any damages.
Appropriate legal action is currently being explored against the persons responsible for creating and disseminating this false information.
