Who are the Nominees for FIFA's Best Coach Award for the Year 2022?
FIFA has announced a short list of the five managers for the best manager of the year award following their exploits in 2022.
The nominated managers was announced on the official website of FIFA on Thursday, January 12th, 2023. The notable name on the list is the coach of Morocco, Walid Regragui who led the North Africans to the Semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup, a feat that has never been achieved by an African country.
Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti also got their names shortlisted for the award. Guardiola for leading Manchester City to winning the Premier League and Ancelotti for helping Real Madrid win the UEFA Champions League.
2018 World Cup winner, Didier Deschamps was also nominated for the award for leading France to a back-to-back World Cup final.
The overall favorite for the award is the head coach of Argentina, Lionel Scaloni following his exploits for leading the South Americans to their third-ever World Cup trophy.
