Liverpool First-team Player Suffers Injury Ahead of the Premier League Return
Liverpool Football Club seem not to be catching a break when it comes to injuries to their key players this season.
As the football world awaits the return of the major leagues in Europe, Liverpool will be without some of its key players, Luis Diaz who suffered a setback in his comeback from a knee injury.
The 25-year-old is set to go back to the UK from the Reds' training camp in Dubai after complaining of discomfort in the knee he injured in the 3-2 defeat at Arsenal in October. There were hopes that he will be available for the Reds friendlies against Lyon this Sunday ( December 9th) or AC Milan next Friday ( December 16th).
He is doubtful for Liverpool's first game after the World Cup which is a Carabao Cup tie away at Manchester City on December 22nd before their return to Premier League action at Aston Villa on Boxing Day, December 26th.
