Set to be released on the 28th of October, Lift Me Up will be Rihanna's first single since her prolonged break 6 years ago. The single which is to soundtrack Marvel's blockbuster movie, 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,' was co-written by Tems alongside Rihanna, Oscar winner Ludwig Gorranson and Ryan Coogler. 'Lift Me Up' was written as a tribute to the life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman.
According to Tems' fan page and news outlet, Tems Szn, the singer shared that the experience was a great honour. Tems said; “Rihanna has been an inspiration to me so hearing her convey this song is a great honour.”
Recall that in September last year, Tems had met Rihanna at the beauty entrepreneur's Fenty x Savage show and Rihanna had effusively shared her admiration for the singer during their conversation.
Tems has also worked with Beyonce, Drake, Wizkid and rendered the vocals to Future's smash hit, 'Wait 4 U.'
