Man United Releases Statement On The Re-arrest Of Mason Greenwood
Manchester United has released a statement following the news of the re-arrest of Mason Greenwood by the UK Police.
Premier League side Manchester United today, Saturday, October 15, 2022, released a statement following the news of the re-arrest of the club's player Mason Greenwood by the UK police.
Mason Greenwood was re-arrested for violating his bail conditions following his arrest in January 2022 on the charges of rape and assault. The UK prosecution has also confirmed that Mason Greenwood would be officially charged to court as well in a recent statement.
Janet Potter, who is the deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS North West, revealed in an official statement:
"The Crown Prosecution Service has today authorised Greater Manchester Police to charge Mason Greenwood, 21, with attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. All three counts relate to the same complainant.

In an official statement, Manchester United has confirmed that Mason Greenwood remains suspended from all club activities pending the investigation.
