The manager of Barcelona Football Club, Xavi Hernandez has reflected on his team's defeat against Bayern Munich.

The Spaniard was speaking at a press conference after his second game of the group in the UEFA Champions League ended in a defeat. The Catalonia side lost the game 2-0 against Bayern at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday, September 13th, 2022.

Xavi believes his team played very well against their opposition and they did deserve more than a defeat from the game against the Bundesliga club.

We were better than Bayern in many aspects, we matched them for intent and also in the physical side. I think it was an excellent first half for us but you can't let them off too many times, especially in the Champions League because you end up paying for it.

Barcelona won their opening group game against Victoria Plzen but will have to try and get a victory in their next game against Inter Milan. Bayern Munich are too of the group with six points while Barcelona and Inter Milan have three points each after playing two games.
