Chelsea FC Close to an Agreement with a Replacement for Antonio Rudiger

Chelsea Football Club are reportedly close to finding the perfect replacement for its former player Antonio Rudiger.

The Athletic confirmed the news on its official website on Tuesday, July 12th, 2022. According to reports, the Blues are close to agreeing to £40 million for the Senegalese international, Kalidou Koulibali, for a long-term contract.

The 31-year-old has a year left on his contract and might not be considering a new deal with Napoli, which makes him a free agent next season. He was a key part lf the Serie A club last season and he helped them finish in the third position behind champions AC Milan and second-placed team Inter Milan.

The Blues are looking to bring in at least two defenders going into the new season following the departure of Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and probably Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.
