The new owners of Chelsea Football Club, Todd Boehly and the Clearlake Capital Consortium have sent a message to the club's supporters.

The completion of the club was confirmed on the official website of Chelsea on Monday, May 30th, 2022. According to the statement from the club, the takeover from the Roman Abramovich Era was completed after the process was approved by the Premier League body and the UK government.

The consortium also includes Hansjörg Wyss, founder of the Wyss Foundation, and Mark Walter, co-founder and CEO of Guggenheim Capital. Walter and Boehly are owners of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Los Angeles Sparks.

Todd Boehly assured fans of the club that they can rest assured that they have the best interest at the club at heart. The US billionaire, has a net worth of around £3.3 billion ($4.4bn), has been a popular option among Chelsea supporters throughout the process because of his knowledge of the club and his success in other sports.
