#AFCON2021: CAF Gives Verdict on Teams with Covid-19 Cases | Read

The Confederation of African Football ( CAF) has released a statement as it concerns teams with positive Coronavirus cases at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

The committee confirmed after their meeting held in Cameroon that any team that does not have eleven players available for any match day will have to forfeit the game 2-0.

A team that does not have a minimum of 11 players available will be considered to have lost the match 2-0. In exceptional cases, the organising committee of AFCON will take the appropriate decision.

The Senegalese are only team that have the highest number of Covid-19 cases. Gabon also have their captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ruled out of the opening game against Comoros.
