Tottenham Hotspur's quest to finish in the top-four position at the end of this Premier League season suffered a huge blow against Newcastle United.
Spurs were thrashed 6-1 by the Magpies at the Saint James' Park on Sunday, April 23rd, 2023. This defeat lead to the termination of the club's interim manager, Cristian Stellini while Ryan Mason will remain stay until the end of the season.
The players released a joint statement which was posted on the Tottenham's official Twitter account. They apologised to the fans of the club, the supporters who were at the stadium on Sunday will get a refund of their ticket money.
The team also promised to put up a fantastic performance against Manchester United on Thursday, April 27th, 2023.
