Wizkid unleashes scathing attack on Davido, claims superiority

The ongoing rivalry between Nigerian music heavyweights, Wizkid and Davido, has reached new heights, with Wizkid launching a series of scathing remarks against his fellow artist.

In a dramatic social media rant, the Essence hitmaker took shots at Davido, listing various ways he believes he is superior to his colleague. The cause of this latest conflict remains unclear, but the intensity of Wizkid's words has caught the attention of fans and the public.

In a heated post, Wizkid claimed that Davido pales in comparison to him on multiple fronts, including music, fashion, and wealth. Also, he accused Davido of being surrounded by what he described as "broke boys" who allegedly worship him, while commenting on how the wealthy have "weaponized poverty" in Nigeria.

Wizkid did not hold back as he wrote: “First off, you’re not as fly as me, can’t sing or make music like me, u can’t dress, u don’t make more money than me, u don’t even got hoes like me. U don’t know yourself. U’re cheap, u pull up for less than we do! Now fuck off, u spoilt rich child! That’s all u are! Fuck u and your dad’s money, we got ours! Every nigga around u broke! U dumb-ass lawyer flies with you everywhere dressed like basket mouth lol, our lawyers are too busy for dat shit! U kids!”

Additionally, the Grammy-winning artist didn’t stop there. He mocked Davido’s popularity on social media: “Naija is a place the rich weaponize poverty so u carry all these broke boys in real life and get dem visa so they worship u and not tell u abt yourself. Call u 001 u delusional fuck aye u idiot! The only time u’re 001 is when u’re in your house. U’re not 001 of nothing but Instagram followers! U don’t make more money than anybody in Nigeria in music! Cheap guy! Everything about u screams cheap!”

Meanwhile, Wizkid's verbal assault extended to Davido’s associates, including Nelson Epega, who was quick to respond. Epega urged Wizkid to grow up and focus on his music, highlighting that Davido has neither mentioned Wizkid publicly nor privately. Also, he reminded Wizkid that several artists he mentioned in his rant, including Davido, were bigger than him, taunting him about his last album being released four years ago.

Furthermore, the rivalry escalated further when Wizkid brought up a fashion partnership dispute, claiming that the global brand Puma had approached him first before moving on to Davido. Wizkid said he turned down the deal because Puma couldn’t meet his financial demands. Also, he stated that their budget was more suited for Davido, who is currently a brand ambassador for the company. He emphasized his position at the top of the Nigerian music scene, boasting that he was "bigger" than fellow artists Rema, Tems, and Burna Boy.

In another outburst, Wizkid wrote: “U idiot! I turned down Puma cos they could no longer afford to pay me cos I wanted more! Don’t need dat! Way bigger than every artiste u just mentioned! Not jealous! Love em all…With ur dirty ass shirt! Idiot!” He continued: “No! Puma is Big brand! But the budget they had for Africa wasn’t for me! Was cool for your client tho!”

Despite the ongoing feud, Davido is yet to publicly address Wizkid’s comments, leaving fans and the public wondering about the next chapter in this long-standing rivalry. As Wizkid’s attacks continue, it remains to be seen whether this clash will be resolved or further escalate in the coming days.
