Leonardo appointed as the new DSTV Tanzania brand ambassador

Tanzanian comedian Leonard Butindi, widely known as Leonardo, has recently signed a significant deal with DSTV, becoming the brand's new ambassador.

This collaboration with DSTV, a subsidiary of MultiChoice, marks a milestone in Leonardo’s career as he becomes the first stand up comedian to partner with the network.

DSTV has previously collaborated with Tanzanian stars primarily from the film and music industries, making this partnership particularly noteworthy.

Leonardo’s rise to fame began in 2021 when he won the Cheka Tu competition, and since then, he has established himself as one of Tanzania’s top comedians.

Just a few weeks ago, he launched an e-learning platform for both children and adult called Learn With Leonardo, which offers courses on a variety of skills, including AI, programming, and corporate affairs.

In addition to his new role with DSTV, Leonardo has secured endorsements with several prominent brands, including Magic Builders, Faras, Pepsi, and Alaf Lishe.

These partnerships have solidified his reputation as one of the most decorated comedians in Tanzania.
