Nyashinski and Sho Madjozi to headline Thrift Social "Made in Kenya" Edition
Celebrated Kenyan superstar Nyashinski and 2019 BET award winner Sho Madjozi will be headlining the upcoming edition of Thrift Social on Sunday 1st September 2019. The two will be flanked by Congolese DJ/rapper/producer Alec Lomami and seasoned Kenyan DJ Fully Focus. ‘’Zimenice’’ hit maker Chris Kaiga is also set to make his debut on the concert series while popular mood setter Mix Master Lenny makes yet another appearance on the show.
The first edition of the same theme was held in June 2018 bringing together award winning Kenyan pop group Sauti Sol who delivered a world class performance alongside visiting American Hip/Hop Soul duo Oshun and Durban singer Shekinah.
The event is Africa's biggest fashion market Thrift Social which celebrates Kenya’s burgeoning fashion, art and music scene. Founded in 2015 by brother and sister combo cum style entrepreneurs, Oliver Asike and Velma Rossa, Thrift Social is a platform for the exploration of fashion, visual art and music in a bid to inspire innovation in Kenya’s vibrant and multi–faceted creative industry.
