The music grind never stops, which means every week we’ll definitely see brand new top songs released from every corner of Africa. That includes Ghana, and from some of our favorite top GH acts such as Kofi Kinaata, Medikal, Efya and more, as well as new cats looking to catch their big break.

This past week was an interesting one in Ghana music. The week saw quarantine-themed freestyles, a solid Ghana-Naija collaboration, dope highlife tunes, and more.

Kofi Kinaata - Behind The Scenes

Rapper Kofi Kinaata dropped a new one, his second single of the year. Despite being a rapper Kofi is known for dishing out excellent highlife tunes, and this one right here is no exception. "Behind The Scenes" is a dope dope highlife tune, and it'll draw you in even if you don't understand what he's saying. Lovely tune by all standards.

 

Medikal - Quarantine Flow

In this week's hip-hop fix, Medikal blessed us with a blazing hot one full of bars. The joint is titled "Quarantine Flow". The AMG Business rapper waxed lyrical on several various topics including getting money, ending the song with a long shoutout session to his friends and colleagues, J. Cole Forest Hills Drive style.

 

Efya ft. Mugeez - Pricelezz

Ghanaian soul songstress Efya brings her Big Dragon series to a close, and gets back to releasing music under her original moniker. She teams up with the R2Bees star Mugeez, delivering this tune titled "Pricelezz". The song is a dose of afrobeats goodness, and the two singers skate all over the production effortlessly like the seasoned stars they are.

 

Sarkodie ft. Oxlade - Overload 2

Lovely lovely tune right here. Africa's most awarded rapper Sarkodie teams up with rising star, Nigerian singer Oxlade to deliver this tune called "Overload 2". Oxlade floats all over the hook, while Sarkodie drops pristine verses on the MOGBeatz production. "I go love you overload!"

 

Shatta Wale - Future Dollar

Shatta Wale fans were expecting a brand new EP from the dancehall singer as he had announced one titled "Manacles of A Shatta" to drop this past Friday. He wasn't able to do so due to "technical hitches", so he decided to appease his fans with this dancehall tune titled "Future Dollar" instead, where he sings his heart out to his queen.
