Mohamed Salah sets a new Premier League record

Mohamed Salah started his goal-scoring campaign under manager, Arne Slot as Liverpool started their 2024/25 Premier League campaign by creating new record with a victory over the newly promoted side, Ipswich Town.

The Egyptian King extended Liverpool's lead in the second half after he created the first for Diogo Jota some minutes earlier. Mohamed Salah took his goal tally on the first day of the Premier League season to nine goals the most by any player in the history of the competition, a feat that has never been achieved by any player in the league.

Liverpool supporters will hope that Salah continues in this fine form as the season progresses and as they look to challenge Manchester City and Arsenal for the Premier League title.
