The Afrobeats diva is about to drop a new album scheduled to drop in 2025.

Nigerian music sensation Tiwatope Savage, widely known as Tiwa Savage, recently offered an intimate glimpse into how she balances her life as both a global superstar and a mother.

The Afrobeats diva, who recently dropped her latest single, Forgiveness—her second release of 2024 following the success of her acclaimed Water & Garri project—has been in the spotlight promoting the song as well as her highly anticipated upcoming album.

In an interview with media personality Tacha on COOL FM’s The Big Friday Show, Tiwa opened up about the challenges of managing motherhood alongside a demanding music career. Reflecting on raising her son Jamil, she highlighted the crucial role her mother and support network play in her journey. 'It truly takes a village,' she shared. 'As a single mother, I constantly rely on my mum—she’s incredibly instrumental. We also have a nanny who’s been with us since Jamil was three months old, and now he’s nine. She’s been a part of our lives for nine years.'

The award-winning star also praised her son’s godmothers, who step in to help when she’s on tour. Speaking on the lifelong commitment of motherhood, she told Tacha, 'Being a mother doesn’t stop when your kids become teenagers. I look at my mum, and she still mothers me even at my age. She calls to ask if I’ve eaten, reminds me to drink water, and worries about me when she sees things online. Our job doesn’t end.'

She added, 'As women, I believe our superpower is juggling multiple roles. I can be a full-time mum and a full-time career woman at the same time.'
