Nigerian singer, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, widely known as Spyro, has candidly shared his feelings of frustration concerning the success of fellow singers, Oxlade and Fireboy.
Speaking during an interview with online personality, Taymesan, on Saturday, January 20, 2024, Spyro reflected on their shared past as up-and-coming musicians.
The singer who rose to stardom after the release of his hit single, 'Who's Your Guy' opened up about the challenges he faced as his peers achieved fame before him.
He recounts a pivotal moment in 2018 when he hosted a show featuring performances by Davido and Mayorkun, thinking it would be a turning point for his career, given his collaboration with them. However, when the expected breakthrough did not materialize, witnessing the rise of others who were once perceived as being on a similar level had a demoralizing effect on him.
Despite these setbacks, Spyro sees it as a lesson from God, teaching him the virtue of patience in his musical journey.
