New age Afrobeats ambassador, Rema, has shared what transpired during his first interaction with American rapper Drake and it's a hilarious yet relatable account.

According to Rema who shared about his first encounter with Drake on a radio interview, it had happened during the pandemic and he'd been sceptical to the point of disbelief. The singer said; "One morning I just woke up and I was like, this has to be a fake account, my friends were like 'Look, it has the blue tick' and I was like 'Okay use your phone, check it'. He then narrated, complete with a reenactment how he'd compared the appearance of Drake's Instagram account on his friend's phone to the same account in his DMs my placing the two phones side by side. Rema shared that he'd felt really amazed by the interaction as Drake had thanked him for turning in a verse and his contribution to Afrobeats.
