Nigerian rapper Phyno has responded to backlash over featuring controversial fraudster Hushpuppi on his recent song Nwoke Esike from his album Full Time Job.

The criticism began when a social media user, @Temmyt_Official, questioned Phyno's decision to include Hushpuppi in the song, who is currently facing legal troubles for his alleged involvement in international fraud.

However, Phyno fired back at the critic, suggesting that Nigerians are quick to condemn their own while celebrating foreign figures with questionable reputations.

"Go and sleep if you don't understand the game," Phyno wrote. "If Young Thug or El Chapo dropped a song, you'd be the first to play it."

Additionally, Phyno's response sparked a heated debate on social media. While some defended his decision, others criticized his association with Hushpuppi.

Meamwhile, the song Nwoke Esike features Hushpuppi offering words of encouragement to young people hustling on the streets, advising them to stay honest and keep their hands clean.
