Peter Okoye Shares His Family's COVID-19 Experience
Nigerian musician, Peter Okoye has revealed that his family including himself, his wife and his kids have been battling with the novel coronavirus for the past three weeks before his announcement.

The announcement was made via Instagram on the 27th of June 2020 where he said while people were aware of his illness, no one knew he was battling coronavirus with his family and it was an experience made in hell. He talked about how they battled, encouraging people to stay safe and continue to wear their mask as the virus is very real.
“I just want to let you all know that for the past three days I’ve been sick, I’ve been ill and most people don’t even know what was wrong with me. I kept it to myself for nearly about three weeks... it’s been three weeks of hell for me and my family. I had COVID-19 for about three weeks ... for those who have noticed during my zoom Live, I was in my guest room because I was self isolating... I was kind of in prison in my own house and it wasn’t just me... The reason why I’m coming out to say it because I want to encourage a lot of people to continue social distancing, sanitizing your hands, your environment and wearing your face mask.... it’s been hell....”
