Here is the latest update on Tyla's concert in Lagos Nigeria for her A-Pop tour scheduled to kick off in 2026.

South African singer Tyla is reportedly no longer scheduled to perform in Lagos as part of her A*POP World Tour, after the Nigerian date was removed from the tour's official schedule.

The Lagos concert was originally announced when Tyla unveiled her 34-date global headline tour on July 27, 2026, in support of her sophomore album, APOP*, which was released on July 24. The show was scheduled to take place on December 22, 2026, making it the first African stop on the tour before performances in Cape Town and Johannesburg in January 2027.

Fans recently noticed that the Lagos date had been removed from the official tour itinerary, indicating that the concert is no longer part of the current schedule.

The change comes after days of online discussions, with some social media users calling for a boycott of the concert amid renewed debates over diplomatic visa tensions and reported xenophobic incidents involving Nigerians in South Africa. However, it remains unclear whether those discussions are connected to the removal of the Lagos date.

Neither Tyla nor her team has publicly stated why the Lagos concert was removed from the schedule, and no official announcement confirming a cancellation has been made as of the time of writing.

For now, the A*POP World Tour is expected to continue across North America, Europe, and Africa, with the remaining African dates currently listed as Cape Town and Johannesburg.
