Nigerian rapper Illbliss has commemorated his late colleague, Oladapo Olaonipekun, popularly known as Dagrin. The indigenous rapper tragically passed away in a fatal car accident on April 22, 2010. On the 14th anniversary of DaGrin's untimely death, Illbliss reflected on his enduring impact, stating that his "legacy will never end".
Through a post shared on April 24, 2024, Illbliss paid tribute to DaGrin, expressing sentiments of remembrance and respect. He acknowledged DaGrin's significant contributions to Nigerian Hip-hop, emphasizing his role as an inspiration to many aspiring artists. DaGrin, widely recognized for his pioneering efforts in indigenous rap, paved the way for a new generation of Nigerian rappers and continued to influence the genre even after his passing.
