It was a day to remember in London on Saturday, July 6, 2024, as the highly anticipated Big Smoke Festival by Skepta lived up to the expectations of many.

British Grime rapper Skepta joined in the festival fun ongoing in different parts of Europe by throwing his own hat into the ring with the inaugural Big Smoke Festival, which was held on Saturday, July 6, 2024. After announcing the festival last year, Skepta confirmed a stellar lineup that left fans eagerly anticipating the event.

Skepta headlined the festival in his only UK performance of the year, sharing the stage with Odumodublvck, Uncle Waffles, The Streets, and Mahalia, along with his younger brother and Boy Better Know collaborator JME.

Introducing the project on Instagram live the previous year, Skepta had said, "I’m gassed to finally announce that Big Smoke Festival is official… I’m so excited, it’s been a wild one to do this. I just want to say thank you to all the supporters; it’s been a couple of years that you didn’t see me on a stage.

"I know a lot of people have been wondering when they’ll see Skepta at a festival, and I really wanted to save all that energy and put it into something that was for us, by us."

Fans were not disappointed as the Big Smoke Festival delivered a powerful celebration of music, culture, and sports as the England vs Switzerland Euro 2024 quarter-finals fixture was also shown live at the venue.
