Afrobeat sensation, Davido Adeleke, commonly known as Davido, has unfollowed record producer, Rexxie on Instagram following a subtle exchange regarding Grammy achievements.

The rift between the two artists sparked on the X platform, where Rexxie, known for his remarkable production skills, boasted about his accomplishments within the music industry.

Specifically, Rexxie proudly mentioned his nominations for his production work on Burna Boy’s Grammy-winning album Twice As Tall and the Grammy-nominated song Do Yourself by Angelique Kidjo and Burna Boy.

In a now-deleted post, Rexxie engaged with a Davido fan on X, highlighting his Grammy recognition before Davido's. He made a pointed remark, stating, "Before your fav get Grammy I’ve already gotten it. I no use sympathy or dance with kids on uniform or attend the show early with my full squad and family members. Respect!"

This statement, laden with implications, caught the attention of Davido, who subsequently unfollowed Rexxie across various social media platforms according to confirmations today, April 1, 2024. The subtle mockery regarding Davido's Grammy aspirations seemed to have struck a nerve, leading to Davido's decisive action.

The online exchange between the two artists resulted in Rexxie deleting the contentious posts, but the fallout from their interaction shows the competitive nature of the music industry and the significance placed on accolades such as the Grammy Awards.
