The world’s largest Afrobeats and Amapiano celebration, Afro Nation, is gearing up for its fifth year anniversary in 2025 with more leading names being announced for the line up today.

In the wake of revealing Burna Boy and Tems earlier this week, Afro Nation Portugal confirmed more of Afrobeats’ biggest stars for the LIT Stage, including Ayra Starr, the Benin-born Obama-endorsed Stormzy collaborator who is known as one of the most distinctive young voices in the scene. Joining these powerhouses between 9th-11th July 2025 on the beach in Portimao will also be two of the biggest names in French hip-hop, Franglish and Tiakola, alongside London’s Afro-fusion singer Gabzy, and Afro-Congo pioneer Innoss'B, all announced today.

Global Amapiano trailblazers Piano People are set to return to the beach in 2025, bringing with them the finest artists, DJs, and hosts from South Africa’s vibrant dance music community. Unveiling a bold first-phase lineup today, Afro Nation Portugal confirms two headliners: The legendary Godfathers of Amapiano DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small as Scorpion Kings, making their Portugal debut together in a major way, and multi-platinum sensation DBN Gogo, who ascends to headliner status at Afro Nation Portugal after a phenomenal year. The lineup will also feature a wealth of talent, from South African electronic music pioneer Oskido to rising London-based star Rosey Gold. Bringing non-stop energy to the party, today's announcement takes in super kid Vigro Deep, 3-step king Mörda, the duo behind the hit Funk 99 Shakes & Les, and MKK hit maker KMAT.
