Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, recently visited the Kennis 104.1 studio and he had quite a lot to say.
He was very quick to pay homage to Kenny Ogungbe and Kennis Music. 2Baba shared that he created his first album, titled Face 2 Face, in the studio courtesy of Kenny Ogungbe and Kennis Music. He said his 'nostalgia' was very inviting and he was grateful to Kenny.
2Baba's first solo album, Face 2 Face was released in 2004 and became a major hit in Nigeria, selling over 2 million copies within a short span. The album was also well-received internationally, thanks to the popular hit song African Queen.
2Baba's visit to the Kennis 104.1 studio and his tribute to Kenny Ogungbe and Kennis Music serves as a reminder of the significant role the label has played in the careers of many Nigerian musicians, including 2Baba himself. The homage to his first album highlights the enduring impact of the album and the lasting legacy it has left in the Nigerian music industry.
