The body governing football in Europe, UEFA are set to move the final of this season's Champions League from Russia to another venue.

The decision is expected to be taken place after an emergency meeting of the European football governing body on Friday, February 25th, 2022. According to reports from BBC Sports, the reason for changing the venue is because of the recent attacks from Russia in Ukraine in the last few days.
The final of the Champions League is expected to be played on May 28th, 2022 at the Gazprom Arena in St. Petersburg. UEFA have confirmed that the Europa League game between Zenith St. Petersburg and Real Betis will go on as scheduled.
FIFA is also set to meet to decide the fate of the playoff, World Cup qualifier which involve Russia and Ukraine. Russia is expected to play against Poland while Scotland will host Ukraine on March 24th, 2022.
