Romero was part of the controversial incident that occurred on Sunday, August 14th, 2022. He was seen pulling the hair of Chelsea's defender, Marc Cucurella which led to Tottenham getting a corner kick in the 96th minute which saw Harry Kane score an equaliser in the final minutes of the game.
Romeo has been ruled out for four weeks which will see him miss games against Wolves, Nottingham Forest, West Ham United and Fulham, according to reports from Football London. He could also be ruled out of the game against Manchester City on September 10th, 2022 at the Etihad Stadium.
