The latest Ballon d'Or ceremony which was won by Real Madrid's forward player, Karim Benzema following his performance during the last season.
However, one of the talking points of the award ceremony was the number of votes which was received by Manchester United's forward player, Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese who last won the award in 2017 did not get any votes in the ranking of the top 20 players.
Benzema had 549 votes which made him the winner of the award, he was followed closely by Senegal's Sadio Mane who could only get 193 votes while Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne could only get 175 votes.
Barcelona's Robert Lewandowski who finished in fourth place got 170 votes while Liverpool's Mohamed Salah completed the top five with 116 votes.
