Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the appointment of Christophe Galtier as the new manager of the club ahead of the next season.

The news of Galtier's appointment was confirmed on the official website of PSG on Tuesday, July 5th, 2022. According to reports from the club, the French man was appointed as a replacement for Mauricio Pochetinno.
The former Tottenham manager was sacked because of PSG's poor run of form in the UEFA Champions League. The Parisians won the Ligue 1 last season (2021/22) but failed where it mattered the most. PSG were dumped out of the most lucrative club competition in Europe as they were beaten by Real Madrid in the Round of 16.
Galtier was the manager of Lille that upset PSG to win the Ligue 1 title during the 2020/21 season. He signed a two-year deal which will keep him at the club until 2024, with an option to extend. The supporters of PSG will hope their new manager can help win the Champions League.
