Chelsea's head coach, Mauricio Pochettino has cleared the air over the future of Levi Colwill at the club.
The Englishman has been linked with a possible move to Brighton on a permanent deal ahead of the 2023/24 season. However, this deal to the Ammex Stadium might not see the light of day anytime soon following Chelsea's decision to keep him.
Mauricio Pochettino confirmed in an interview while speaking with pressmen after the game against Brighton. According to him, Levi Colwill is not for sale because he is a key part of the squad.
"We don't need to make a statement. Colwill is our player and he’s going to continue with us. I am so happy with Levi, he can become one of the greatest centre-backs in England”.
The youngster came on as a substitute in the second half of the Premier League summer series game against Brighton, the club he played his football last season ( 2022/23).
