Manchester United's youngster, Mason Greenwood has reportedly given up on his future at Old Trafford following the incident that occurred earlier in the year.

The Englishman was recently suspended from the team after he was accused of physically and sexually assaulting his girlfriend. However, the charges against the player has been dropped but Manchester United are yet to allow him back into the team.

The 21-year-old was expected to join Erik Ten Hag's squad after the charges were dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service. However, a source who is close to Greenwood told the Sun that the player is not happy with the way the club has handled the situation.

Mason believes he's finished at United. He's sat at home kicking his heels and very frustrated. He wants to get back playing football but realises his situation is very complicated and it's his own doing. He is determined to play football again but doesn't think he'll ever pull on a United shirt ever again.

Greenwood held extensive talks with United officials last month in the hope of returning to the club, emphasizing his desire to return as soon as possible.
