Why did Leny Yoro pick Manchester United instead of Real Madrid?
He said, it was an easy decision for him to join Manchester United after he spoke with the top guns at the club and he understood the path that they were heading
"Since my first conversations with the club, they set out a clear plan for how I can develop as part of this exciting project, showing a lot of care for me and my family . It’s incredible honour to sign for a club of Man Utd stature”.
The young defender was fantastic for Lille last season, which was the reason why United opted to pay £50 million for him despite having one year left on his contract with the French side. Real Madrid were initially interested in bringing in the 18-year-old to Bernabeu, but they were not ready to break the bank to bring on Yoro.
He is expected to partner with Argentina international Lisandro Martinez in the defence for most of the 2024/25 season, barring injury to any of both players. The supporters of the club hope that the partnership will help them win games and concede less goals when the season starts.
