Chelsea Football Club have confirmed the exit of Moroccan International Hakim Ziyech on a season-loan deal.
The Blues confirmed the news on its official website in the early hours of Sunday, August 20, 2023. According to the club, Hakim Ziyech's deal to the Turkish side, Galatasaray is a loan but there is an obligation to buy inserted in the contract.
The 30-year-old joined the Blues from Ajax in the 2020 summer transfer window. He helped the club to win the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup during his time at the club.
Ziyech has made 107 appearances for the Blues and scored 14 goals, the supporters of the club will always remember his goal in the Super Cup against Villarreal in Belfast at the start of the 2021/22 campaign.
Chelsea and the winger have been looking for an opportunity to part ways, but it has not been able to materialise in the past few months. He was supposed to join Paris Saint Germain in January but incomplete paperwork did not allow the deal to come through, he recently had a chance to move to the Saudi Arabia side, Al Nassr but he reportedly failed his medicals.
